Friday Night's drinkin' to: Joshua Redman

Wind instruments are probably the only instruments which you can blow, suck and slobber; and it results in music. If you know what you are doing.

Of all of the music instruments around, the Saxophone is by far the best. It's got a beautiful tone, for sure. It can be relaxing and fast-paced, at the same instant of time.

Joshua Redman is a Saxophone artist I came across very recently, and I think his work is worth sharing, more than once. I shall share some more Joshua Redman later, but if you're interested, Jazz Crimes is a great track.

This track is called Greasy G and is from the album Momentum. The bass winds and hangs in the air like a snake from a tree. The tree that I am referring to is the drum track, of course. There's some pretty cool keyboarding in there as well, and it all sums up really well and sticks together to keep you interested all through.

Cheers!
